Vision and Mission

The Oahu Economic Development Board (OEDB) envisions a thriving economy focused on the well-being and prosperity of everyone who calls Hawaii home, now and into the future. OEDB serves as a convenor that advances the growth, retention, and creation of local businesses and jobs to support the health of the people and economy of Hawaii.

Comprised of leaders from diverse sectors across Hawaii, OEDB recognizes that the strength of a community’s true economy is anchored in the strength of its people and relationships. Therefore, OEDB takes a relational approach to economic development in reverence to the disciplines of ALOHA. Our team works to align the best of who we are and what we have in Hawaii to address the problems we face economically, socially, and environmentally.

Economic diversification is an important part of that challenge to ensure our children will be the residents and values-based leaders who perpetuate what makes Hawaii unique and special.
